Air Canada connects Hamilton with new luxury motorcoach option

Air Canada is offering Hamilton residents a smoother journey to the world by launching a new motorcoach service. This collaboration with The Landline Company connects passengers directly to Toronto Pearson Airport from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport and back, creating a seamless travel experience with a single itinerary booking option.

“We are excited to launch this new service,” said Ranbir Singh, Director of Regional Airlines and Markets at Air Canada. “This innovative partnership offers our customers a convenient, stress-free way to connect with our global network. Passengers can enjoy a single itinerary, disruption protection, and the ability to earn Aeroplan points, just like they would with an air-only connection.”

The new service, officially unveiled on Wednesday (May 1, 2024) at a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Hamilton, utilizes premium Landline motorcoaches. These boast spacious leather seats with power outlets, complimentary Wi-Fi, and generous overhead storage for carry-on luggage. Passengers can also expect announcements in English and French and fully accessible coaches with power lifts for those requiring mobility assistance.

“We are thrilled to launch this premium connecting service,” said Nick Johnson, Vice President of Commercials for Landline. “Passengers booking an Air Canada flight can now enjoy our luxury motorcoach for no additional cost, along with premium onboard amenities and a protected flight connection on every trip.”

Stakeholders say this trial service is a positive step for regional air travel in Southern Ontario.

“Today marks an exciting development for the future of air travel,” said Cole Horncastle, Executive Managing Director of John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport. “This innovative service aligns with our commitment to provide a comfortable and convenient experience for passengers, expanding access to Air Canada’s global network.”

This new initiative, which is also now available in Waterloo, has the potential to be rolled out across other regions in Canada, offering increased travel options and a more seamless journey for passengers.
