McMaster University and King’s College London partner to advance nuclear medicine research and training

In a groundbreaking collaboration, McMaster University and King’s College London’s School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences (BMEIS) have joined forces to propel nuclear medicine research and education. Announced on Apr. 8. 2024, these world-leading nuclear research institutions are pooling their expertise to optimize the production of 94mTc, a radioisotope crucial for PET scans of tissues and organs.

This diagnostic tool aids in detecting conditions such as cancer and heart disease.
