Once again, Hamilton has been listed as a prime investment destination by Site Selection Magazine.
In its annual Canada’s Best Locations 2023 report, Site Selection Magazine specifically lauded the Bayfront Industrial Area Strategy, which will assist in creating nearly 4,000 acres of mixed industrial area on the shore of Hamilton Harbour – across from one of the city’s oldest north-end neighbourhoods.
“The Bayfront has been part of Hamilton’s industrial, economic and cultural legacy for decades,” Norm Schleehahn, Director of Economic Development, told the magazine, “and it was where Hamilton grew its reputation as one of Canada’s major manufacturing centers.”

The City of Hamilton announced on June 14 that it had surpassed $1 billion worth of construction in 2023, marking the earliest the City reached the billion-dollar mark in construction value – three days sooner than the previous record set in 2022.
This milestone represented approximately 2,612 building projects within the residential, institutional, commercial, and industrial sectors.
