HAMILTON, ON – The City of Hamilton has launched a unique tool to assist businesses in finding funding faster and more relevant to local business needs.  Fundica, an intelligent funding search engine firm, is now collaborating with the City’s Economic Development Office to offer this new platform that has been equated to speed dating for funding – making the process easy and highly tailored to the individual business.  Hamilton is the first city in Ontario to implement Fundica’s intelligent funding search engine.

“What we know quite well, particularly through the pandemic, is that access to timely and relevant funding can be the difference between business success and business failure,” said Norm Schleehahn, Director, Economic Development, City of Hamilton.  “We are consistently looking to make doing business in Hamilton easier and the partnership with Fundica is a key way to help businesses in their funding quest so they can keep going and growing.”

Fundica is an award-winning, AI-powered funding matching solution provider for entrepreneur-support organizations across North America. Through Fundica, these organizations can empower small to medium-sized businesses to easily identify and apply for the most relevant government and complementary funding available on the organization’s site- with no IT integration required.

“We are excited to be able to power the City of Hamilton as a one-stop funding destination for business owners,” said Mike Lee, CEO and co-founder of Fundica. “The City of Hamilton and Fundica are both united in our mission of making funding accessible for all businesses and simplifying the lives of business owners in Hamilton.”

Hamilton’s Economic Development Office is the central point of contact for business assistance. Its services are geared to serve startups, corporate relocations, as well as the expansion and retention of existing business.  Its mission is to serve as the catalyst for continued economic growth, job creation, and revitalization in Hamilton.
