The concept initially began as a pilot project allowing patios in parking spaces of commercial areas designed to bring safe and al fresco dining to city streets. Currently, Pop Up Street Patios has more than 400 mobile patios installed across the province and has recently expanded to the US with a 20 patio installation in Pittsburgh, PA. The company has expanded their product offering to include community parklets, pedestrian bypasses and sidewalk rail systems and has patented its innovative designs.
