Sierra Supply Chain Services has had a long history in Hamilton, adding to the city’s position as a hub for food, manufacturing and supply chain. Sierra (formerly known as Eastern Meat Solutions) was first established in Ontario in 1967 and has steadily expanded their facilities, specializing in protein product services, across the province to accommodate their growing portfolio including cold storage and logistics.
Sierra’s new $62 million investment in Red Hill Park in Hamilton developed by Alinea Group Holdings, will bring a state-of-the-art cold storage facility with a focus on energy efficiency and value-add services. This investment will grow the facility’s existing footprint from 93,000 square feet to 250,000 square feet. The company also has plans to add 30,000 square feet of food processing space to the site to provide full-service capabilities to customers.
