Slug: L3Harris’ Waterdown facility supports local advanced manufacturing and employs 1,250 people
L3Harris Technologies has cut the ribbon on their new, state-of-the-art Canadian Head Office in the Flamborough Business Park in Waterdown.
The 330,000 square foot facility is combines research, development, engineering, assembly, service and office space. While the site currently employs 1,250 people, L3Harris expects to grow the size of their workforce over the next four years to house 1,500 employees within this location.
The site will produce L3Harris’ WESCAM MX-Series electro-optical and infrared imaging technologies. This technology is in use across more than 80 countries, and operates in air, land, and maritime service. The new facility will increase manufacturing capacity by 80% compared to their previous facility.
