Mayor Fred Eisenberger Speaks with the Hamilton Spectator about Hamilton’s Record Setting Investment Year

During a recent interview with the Hamilton Spectator, Mayor Fred Eisenberger highlighted some of the economic development activities that led to nearly $2 billion of investments in 2021. The Mayor noted that Hamilton’s Airport Employment Growth District has seen considerable investment, including a major investment from Amazon.

This interview follows the release of the City of Hamilton’s 2021-2025 Economic Development Action Plan. The new plan focuses on six key strategic pillars, which include a clear focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion, newcomer workforce development, and combatting climate change.
