Hamilton’s West Hamilton Innovation District, an area that is located off of Highway 403 ramps and is bordered by Dundurn Street, Aberdeen Avenue, and Longwood Road South is split into two main components: McMaster Innovation Park and the Annex. McMaster Innovation Park consists of buildings from McMaster University including the Atrium, McMaster Automotive Resource Centre (MARC) and the recently acquired Westinghouse Building. The Annex will be connected by Frid Street to Longwood Road which will unite McMaster Innovation Park with other innovative companies housed in the Annex.
The result will be an innovation supercentre that will truly encourage collaboration between industry and academia.
