AXYZ Automation Group (AAG) unveiled its 105-square-foot expansion on Thursday at Hamilton’s Flamborough/iConnect Business Park. A global leader in manufacturing CNC router machines and waterjet cutting solutions, AAG’s expansion is expected to create 100 jobs, with plans for another 50.
Mayor Andrew Horwath attended the event at the new facility, which will serve as the global headquarters, overseeing operations in the USA, UK, and EU, employing more than 250 people.
The $25 million investment is a testament to Hamilton’s prime position for manufacturing investments, providing immediate access to all modes of transportation, an uncongested highway, and a rich talent pool.
AAG’s clientele reads like a who’s who of global giants, including Boeing, Airbus, NASA, McMaster University, and Tesla. The new facility includes an enhanced Research and Development (R&D) area, a hotbed for developing cutting-edge intellectual property.
This move underscores Hamilton’s burgeoning reputation as an innovation hub and solidifies AAG’s commitment to shaping the future of manufacturing technology.
