The City of Hamilton moved quickly to adapt and implement new processes that led to success in 2020.
Although 2020 proved to be a challenging year, the City of Hamilton has adapted well through combined efforts to provide services and programs to accommodate the business community. The City of Hamilton secured over $1.3 billion in building permit values and set a record for industrial permit values. Hamilton has also initiated a significant amount of COVID related programs including:
- Hamilton COVID Concierge for Business with the Hamilton Chambers of Commerce
- Digital Main Street Program to help local business adapt and transform into the digital economy
- Initiated the Hometown Hub, a one stop shop for Hamilton businesses to market and drive marketing
- A $10,000 grant to the Business Improvement Areas to support special programming and support local businesses
