Hamilton is home to the busiest port in Ontario and of the Canadian Great Lakes. The recent merger with the Oshawa Port Authority solidifies Hamilton’s position as a leader in maritime cargo operations. The Hamilton Oshawa Port Authority (HOPA) provides many benefits including, multimodal options with direct rail access and is a key element to supply chains including steel, agri-food, bulk project, manufacturing and construction material. The port also provides onsite Canada Customs to accommodate import and export of product.
