This includes Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Remedial Action Plans, and Risk Assessments. Additional studies, such as Designated Substances and Hazardous Materials (DSHM) Surveys, may also be considered to investigate other potential environmental impacts or facilitate the redevelopment or reuse of eligible sites.
Must meet the goals of the Environmental Remediation and Site Enhancement Community Improvement Plan (ERASE CIP). Applies within the Historically Developed Area as defined by the ERASE CIPA By-law. However, it does not apply to sites where a designated heritage building has been demolished or to agricultural lands subject to normal farm practices.
Up to 50% of the cost of an eligible study (excluding HST), with a cap of $20,000 for the first study and a combined maximum of $35,000 for two studies. For sites being investigated for not-for-profit housing developments, the maximum grant is 100% of the cost of an eligible study (excluding HST), with a cap of $40,000 for the first study and a combined maximum of $70,000 for two studies.
