The program supports the redevelopment and reuse of affordable housing by not-for-profit housing providers who cannot participate in the ERASE Redevelopment Grant (ERG) program.
Eligibility
For this Program, a ‘not-for-profit housing development’ refers to a building or structure intended for residential rental or housing for the homeless, owned and developed by:
- A corporation under the Not-for-Profit Corporations Act of 2010 in good standing and primarily focused on providing housing.
- A corporation without share capital under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act in good standing and primarily focused on providing housing.
- A non-profit housing co-operative in good standing under the Co-operative Corporations Act.
- CityHousing Hamilton Corporation.
Amount
Grants covering actual eligible costs up to a maximum of $200,000 per site.
