These past few years have been the most challenging for women in the workforce. Women have taken on the brunt of the workload of caring for family while maintaining professional positions across the board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, we will celebrate our resiliency<\/a> in these difficult times, and be inspired to take on the challenges we still have ahead. On March 8th, join us for an afternoon of incredible speakers, special guests, self-empowerment, and inspiration. <\/strong>Next year, we will celebrate our successes with our 10th, and grandest SITC yet. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Christal Earle<\/a> has been a lifelong social entrepreneur. She was first introduced to landfill workers in vulnerable parts of the world in 2005 while helping to lead the Canadian youth charity she had co-founded called Live Different<\/a>. What started out as a passion for social equality has grown into a love for people and the planet. In 2017 she launched Brave Soles with $250, Brave Soles creates handcrafted shoes with upcycled tire soles.<\/p>\n\n\n\nlearn more about brave soles<\/a>\n\n\n\n

Ashleigh Montague is the Co-Founder of BLK OWNED and a connection specialist. Ashleigh is passionate about impacting the communities in which she lives, learns and works. Her love for community is seen through the initiatives and non-profit organizations she has co-founded; Janus Skills 4 Success, Operation Feed the Homeless and Nu Omega Zeta – Canada\u2019s 2nd black-focused sorority. Ashleigh embodies what it means to be a \u201cTrue Hamiltonian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her belief in intrinsic leadership is what guides communities, individuals, leaders, and organizations towards an all-hands-on-deck approach, empowering and mobilizing them towards a culture of compassion, collective abundance, and belonging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fae Johnstone (she\/they) is the Executive Director and Co-Owner of Wisdom2Action Consulting Ltd., a social enterprise and consulting firm working with nonprofits and governments across Canada to advance 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion, improve mental health services, and combat gender-based violence. Fae was the 2019 recipient of LGBT Youth Line’s Trans Activism award and currently serves on the Board of Directors for YWCA Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carla Criminisi

In 2015, Carla Criminisi began Charles & Hunt out of the need for a convenient and stress-free shopping experience for male professionals who value quality menswear and personalized service. After working for one of the world\u2019s most successful retailers and an international showroom in Milan, Italy, she returned to Hamilton, Ontario to start Charles & Hunt and change the way men shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sonia holds a Master\u2019s in Economics and Business from Wilfrid Laurier. She serves as secretary of the board for the Lynwood Charlton Centre and is a national patient advocate with the Canadian Medical Association Patient Voice Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before co-founding Body Brave<\/a> in 2017, she worked as Economic Analyst for the Burlington Economic Development Corporation. After recovering from a devastating eating disorder that nearly took her life, Sonia co-founded Body Brave in order to provide accessible support options for those struggling with eating disorders and their families.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
