The ESA applies to most employees and employers in Ontario. Every Canadian province and most industrialized countries have similar laws to protect employees. \n\n\n\nIn Ontario\, the Ministry of Labour\, Immigration\, Training and Skills Development is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the ESA and its regulations. The Ministry is committed to educating employees and employers about their workplace rights and responsibilities.
